The following is a photograph captured by my brother Dhruba. It is his favourite way of playing with light from behind the camera lenses during his leisure. My friends who follow my blog must have noticed that I combine poetry with famous paintings, with the earlier one followed by the latter in posts. But here, I have reversed the trend by using the photograph first and then mentioning the beautiful poem that acts as a perfect ode to the beauty of Rose.

A sepal, petal, and a thorn
Upon a common summer’s morn —
A flask of Dew — A Bee or two —
A Breeze — a caper in the trees —
And I’m a Rose!

~Emily Dickinson
